PROBLEM
You know the story: you are at a camp site or you are making a short stop at a beautiful spot along the road, but your camper van is rather uneven. So uneven that the available levellers are not enough to put your camper van in a more or less even position. So you try a few more planks, another jack, etc. After you have done this, you can at long last enjoy your rest, but then you want to move on again and at the next stop it will probably be the same story all over again. A time-consuming activity that gives a lot of trouble.
LEVELSYSTEM
To save you all this trouble, we have developed the E&P levelling system. By only pushing one button, your camper van is set in a level position fully automatically, and your camper van is completely ready in only 2 minutes. All wheels stay on the ground at all times. And what about the fact that the camper van is now also perfectly stable. No movement whatsoever can be felt in the camper van when someone walks through it or steps in. This is also very comfortable in the morning when an early riser walks about inside or gets out of the camper van which would otherwise be rocked by these movements.
JACKS
Our system does not work in the same way as other supporting systems where each jack must be adjusted separately and you must still check for yourself if everything is level. Our system does all of this by itself. All jacks are lowered after that first push on the button. As soon as all jacks are down, each jack is operated individually at short intervals until everything is perfectly level.
Our system works with light-weight hydraulic jacks which are lowered by operating the control unit. The standard delivery includes 4 jacks each of which is capable of supporting 1.7 tons. This is sufficient for most camper vans in Europe. Heavier jacks are available as well. Up to 9 tons per jack. The jacks are fastened to the undercarriage by means of assembly plates. These plates are not included in the standard delivery because there are so many types of undercarriage. These assembly plates must therefore be ordered or manufactured separately. The jacks are available in 3 different stroke lengths: 300/400/450 mm .
PUMP UNIT
The jacks have a two-way operating mechanism, which means that they can be lowered and also raised hydraulically. This has the advantage that if a jack has sunk into the mud, it can still be pulled out of the mud. This raising of the jack is not done by means of springs like other systems. The jacks are powder-coated to provide protection against corrosion.
The jacks are operated by means of a 12 Volt electrical/hydraulic pump. The pump works at a pressure of 160 bars. This pump can be installed behind a hatch or in a storage compartment. Hydraulic lines run from this location to the jacks. And, even in the event of a power failure because the battery is flat, the system can still be operated manually to lower or raise the jacks. The dimensions of the entire pump block are L45xW15xH25.
OPERATION
An operating panel is installed in the camper van with which the entire system can be operated. The system is provided with a safety feature and works only if the hand brake has been engaged. When you want to drive off again, one push on the button is enough to retract all jacks again in less than 1 minute. If you forget to retract the jacks and release the hand brake, then an alarm is sounded and the jacks are retracted immediately. If you so wish, the system can also be put into manual mode. You can then operate each jack individually again. Suppose that your camper van leans over to the left, then you can push the left button and the camper van is raised slightly on the left-hand side. It is as easy as that. This panel also shows whether the battery is charged sufficiently to operate the jacks.
